Cadet News
The cadet news page is restricted to uniformed personnel only, as the page contains sensitive material, on meetings and times etc.
- Public have no access to the Cadet news page for security reasons.
- Cadets with use of a provided username and password can read the information on this page, but cannot add, delete or modify any of the content (unless authorised)

Recent Events
The recent events page as it sounds, is a page for the squadrons recent
activities, such as stories from summer camp, or story about the latest
drill competition etc.
- Public have Read Access to the Recent Events Page for security reasons, please keep the content safe - no telephone numbers, personal addresses etc.
- Cadets have Read Access to the Recent Events Page, unless authorised.
- 1297 Sqn Staff can View, Add, Delete or

Picture Gallery
The picture gallery, shows all submitted photographs by 1297 Staff and
Cadets. The gallery has a built in program, that allows any user with
access to add, delete or modify any files on the internet.
- Public have Read Access to the Picture Gallery.
- Cadets have Read Access to the Picture Gallery, unless authorised.
- 1297 Sqn Staff can View, Add, Delete or
Modify photographs stored within the picture gallery.

Change Web Information
The 1297 Sqn website uses a programming language called PHP instead of the
standard HTML. All webpages can be modified online in real time. Simply by
choosing the specified page, e.g About 1297 Sqn and changing the
information within the .txt file and saving the changes they then become
viewable on the 1297 Sqn website. A knowledge of HTML scripting is
strongly required here, but some general pointers can be found in the
"Help / Info" link opposite.

Adding Email Address
The 1297 Sqn website has its own email address (enquiries@1297atc.co.uk).
To view emails for the "enquiries" account, you must first
receive permission from 1297 Sqn Staff and obtain the email password. To access this email address and view messages, you will need to configure
you email client. Below is two files that will automatically configure
either: Microsoft Outlook Express or Microsoft Outlook. To install, close
down your mail client (Outlook Express or Outlook) and simply click on one
of the files below. The file will automatically open, select run to
install.
