on Sunday 28th August 2011,

 A 1297 Stonehaven Sqn swimming team went to Westhill Swimming pool for the North East Scotland Wing Swimming Gala which started at 12:30pm and ran till 17:00pm.

The cadets that took part were:

IC Sgt Aaron Sangster, Sgt Joe Gray, Cdts Sam Jones, David Cooper, Gareth Bowen, Ross Curley, Eilidh Rattray and Rebecca McRae.

And we would like to congratulate the following cdts on the medals they won:

Sgt Joe Gray won Silver for the Butterfly and a Silver for the Individual Medley.

Cdt Sam Jones won Gold in Backstroke.

the Senior boys won Gold in the Medley Relay, the team was Cdt Sam Jones, IC Sgt Aaron Sangster, Sgt Joe Gray and Cdt David Cooper. 

and also the Senior boys also went on to win Gold in the Freestyle relay as well. the team for that was:

Sgt Joe Gray, IC Sgt Aaron Sangster, Cdt Sam Jones and Cdt Ross Curley.

A Huge well done to those that took part and giving it your all in ur races and especially the cdts that won a medal.

14/11/2010 was the date of this years Remembrance Parade in Stonehaven in which our cadets took part in. the parade it self was lead as normal by former Commanding Officer of 1297 Sqn,  Flt Lt George Craig MBE.  

He then lead the parade up towards the Fetteresso Church where the service was held this year. the service was lead by Rev Fyfe Blair.

Then they marched back to the Square and then took a bus up to the War Memorial up on top the Black hill. then they came back to the Royal British Legion for Soup & Sandwiches made by the Ladies of the Legion.
